Summit Trail Middle School PTO

A 501(c)(3) organization based in Ravensdale, WA supporting the education of children by fostering relationships among the school, parents, teachers, and community.

What does the PTO do for our school??

We provide more than $10,000 each school year in grant money to the principal, health room, and counseling center.   This money helps provide for student success by way of funding incentives for student recognition, scholarships for students in need, financial support for end of the year field trips and other areas where the campus sees fit.

Our Staff Appreciation volunteers recognize our hardworking and caring staff every month during the school year with meals, treats, or gifts.

We provide Treat Days where volunteers come together to sell ice cream treats during lunch every other week.

We partner with the ASB to provide concessions or additional parent supports for their events, as requested.

We assist the school in finding volunteers for any events the campus needs (grizzly days, school photos, hearing and vision screening, etc)  

We contribute to the THS scholarship fund to provide scholarships for seniors.

We provide 2 opportunities to attend sporting events at a discounted rate (Thunderbirds and Mariners).

We will partner with the school to help provide outside of school opportunities to highlight fine art and academic works.

 What is expected of a PTO member?

First of all, please know that VOLUNTEERING IS NOT REQUIRED!!!!   Your membership money, in addition to our fundraising efforts, allow us to run our programs and to fund the grants we provide to our campus.  So, if you don't have time to volunteer, your membership shows your support!

*IF* you are able to volunteer, we would LOVE to have you! It takes a village to run this organization and we hope you'll join us!

We have between 4-6 general meetings/per year.   Attendance is not required, but your voice is always appreciated, so please join us if you are available.  Emails will be sent in advance and reminders will be posted to our Facebook page.
